Whiseant earns $3,000 for AMP win at Monticello

MONTICELLO, Ark. (Aug. 9) — Duke Whiseant of Texarkana, Ark., earned $3,000 for winning Monticello Speedway's Topless 40 for his first career victory on the Arkansas Motorsports Professionals circuit. Whiseant, who traveled to southern Arkansas after a sub-par qualifying effort at the North-South 100 in Union, Ky., outran Texas driver Jon Mitchell for the victory. Ronny Adams of Greenwood, La., was third followed by Ray Moore of Shreveport, La., and Jeff Chanler of Minden, La.
