Kerr wins third straight, dominates Tri-County

BRASSTOWN, N.C. (Aug. 16) — Polesitter Tommy Kerr of Maryville, Tenn., fended off challenges from fast qualifier Jamie Oliver of Murphy, N.C., to lead all 40 laps at Tri-County Racetrack and capture his third consecutive victory on the Advanced Auto Parts Thunder Series. "We have had a good car, everyone on the team is on the same page and things have gone our way," Kerr said after his fourth straight victory overall. "Hopefully we will be able to keep it up." Kerr earned $4,000 in outrunning Oliver, Rick Rogers of Knoxville, Tenn., Benji Cole of Canon, Ga., and Johnny Chastain of Murphy in a race where sprinkles fell in the final laps. | Slideshow
