Collins wins UDLMCS asphalt stop at Charlotte County

PUNTA GORDA, Fla. (Aug. 16) — Johnny Collins of Jacksonville, Fla., worked his way to the front of a caution-free 50-lapper to win the United Dirt Late Model Challenge Series event on the asphalt at Charlotte County Motorsports Park. More than 3,000 fans watched 13 minutes of feature action as Collins outran Mike Bresnahan and Mark Whitener for the victory. Dusty Cone crossed the finished line third, but he was disqualified for an engine infraction.
