Knowles tops Johnson, wins $3,000 at Moulton
MOULTON, Ala. (March 21) — Georgia invader Tony Knowles broke through on the Bama Super Series with a $3,000 victory at Moulton Speedway. Knowles, of Tyrone, Ga., outran Ronnie Johnson of Chattanooga, Tenn., for the victory in the second race of the two-track minitour between Moulton and North Alabama Speedway. | Slideshow
Chris Ragan of Corinth, Miss., was third followed by Daniel Miller of Shelbyville, Tenn., and Jamie Flannagan. Fast qualifier Jerry Owens of Killen, Ala., dropped out with a 21st-place finish.
The next Bama Super Series action is scheduled for May 15-16 with races at North Alabama Speedway followed by Moulton.
