Dewitt outruns Ivey at Golden Isles
BRUNSWICK, Ga. (June 19) — Brandon Dewitt of Molven, Ga., swept Hedman Hedders National Late Model Series action Saturday at Golden Isles Speedway by setting fast time, winning his heat race and capturing the feature from outside the front row. Dewitt earned $3,000 for his second NLMS victory of 2010.
Polesitter Tyler Ivey of Tallahassee, Fla., going for his third victory in his last four series starts, settled for second while Dillon Wood of New Smyrna, Fla., rallied from 12th to finish third. Mark Whitener of Middleburg, Fla., and Russell Brown Jr. of Valdosta, Ga. rounded out the top five.
