GAFFNEY, S.C. (July 3) — Chip Brindle of Chatsworth, Ga., captured his first victory on the first-year Ultimate Super Late Model Series and moved into the series points lead.

Jeff Smith of Dallas, N.C., finished second followed by Dennis Franklin of Gaffney, S.C., John Pursley of Clover, S.C., and Jeff Cooke of Spartanburg, S.C. Chris Ferguson of Mount Holly, N.C., who entered the race with the five-point lead on Brindle, finished ninth. | Slideshow
