Ivey scores first SAS victory at Waycross
WAYCROSS, Ga. (Sept. 17) – Tyler Ivey of Tallahassee, Fla., recorded the first Southern All Star Series victory of his career Saturday night when the tour visited Waycross Motor Speedway for a $5,000-to-win event.
Ivedent Lloyd Jr. of Ocala, Fla., followed Ivey to the finish in the runner-up position with the tour’s points leaders Billy Ogle Jr. of Knoxville, Tenn., and William Thomas of Phenix City, Ala., finishing third and fourth respectively. Russell Brown of Valdosta, Ga., rounded out the top five. | Slideshow
Ogle and Thomas remain locked in a close points battle with two races remaining on the tour’s 2011 schedule. The series heads Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, Tenn., on Sept. 24 before the Nov. 19 finale at Cleveland (Tenn.) Speedway.
