Wallace grabs fifth Comp Cams victory at I-30
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Oct. 1) – Wendell Wallace of Batesville, Ark., earned his fifth Comp Cams Super Dirt Series victory of the season Saturday night when the tour made its third visit of the season to I-30 Speedway. | Slideshow
Wallace started from the pole and was followed at the finish line by Jon Kirby of Russellville, Ark., and seventh-starting Stacy Taylor of Jacksonville, Ark. Curtis Cook of Conway, Ark., advanced from the 11th starting position to finish fourth while Jon Mitchell of Texarkana, Texas, followed him from 12th to fifth.

The series paid tribute to former series driver Terry Henson of North Little Rock, Ark., who died recently. "In Memory of U2" decals were placed on all the cars and Henson's No. U2 was driven slowly around the track. ... Series points leader Brandon Smith of Floral, Ark., finished ninth. ... Drivers not starting the main event were Chad Patterson, Kenny Basco and Gary Lawson. ... The Comp Cams tour wraps up its season Oct. 8 with a $3,500-to-win event at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Ark.
