Litton outruns Tippen for Chatham victory
CHATHAM, La. (March 17) — Rob Litton of Alexandria, La., captured Saturday's feature at Jones Motor Speedway for the 26th victory of his career on the Southern United Professional Racing circuit. The double-points victory paid $2,500.
Allen Tippen of Minden, La., who won SUPR's last event in Chatham, settled for second while Chris Holley of Dayton, Texas, finished third. Derek Perkins of Oakdale, La., and Zach McMillan of Gladewater, Texas, rounded out the top five. | Slideshow
Litton, who also captured last year's season-ender with SUPR, has victories in two of his last three series starts.
Notes: Litton's victory moves him into a tie for fifth on the all-time SUPR victories list with Ronnie Poche of Natchitoches, La. ... Litton has two previous SUPR victories at Chatham, the most recent in 2001. ... Next up for SUPR is an April 7 event at Boothill Speedway near Shreveport, La.
