English earns $5,000 at James King Memorial
COLUMBUS, Miss. (March 17) — Polesitter Terry English of Benton, Ky., led every lap of the 17th James King Memorial at Columbus Speedway. His first career victory on the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series paid $5,000. | Slideshow
Fast qualifier Scott Dedwylder of Vosburg, Miss., pressured English late on restarts and amid traffic, but English held on for the victory while Dedwylder settled for second. Kyle Beard of Trumann, Ark., was third followed by hometown driver Brian Rickman and Eric Cooley of Fulton, Miss. Mark Fields of Lawrenceburg, Tenn., was the race's hard charger, finishing seventh from his 16th starting spot.
