Combs collects $5,000 at 191's Mayabb Memorial
CAMPTON, Ky. (Sept. 22) — Chris Combs of Isom, Ky., won a side-by-side duel with early leader Derek Fisher of Columbus, Ind., following a mid-race restart and led the rest of the way in 191 Speedway’s Wince Mayabb Memorial. The third-starting Combs earned $5,000 for the victory in the unsanctioned event. | Video
Fisher, who started outside the front row, settled for a second-place finish with Steven Breeding of Isom in third. D.J. Wells of Hazard, Ky., was fourth and Shannon Thornsberry of Martin, Ky., fifth, while polesitter Brandon Fouts of Kite, Ky., slipped back to sixth at the finish.
