Fitzgerald claims second straight NLMS win
ALBANY, Ga. (May 25) — Jason Fitzgerald of Jacksonville, Fla., won his second straight event on the Hedman Hedders National Late Model Series Saturday night at Albany Motor Speedway with a $4,000 victory in the Limited Late Model tour’s Memorial Day weekend special.
Fitzgerald, who won the tour’s previous event April 27 at Waycross (Ga.) Motor Speedway, was followed at the finish Evan Becton of Valdosta, Fla., to the finish with Tyler Ivey of Tallahassee, Fla., third. Joe Kump of Hollywood, Fla., and Mark Whitener of Middleburg, Fla., rounded out the race’s top five finishers.
The series returns to Albany for its next event, a $3,000-to-win race scheduled for July 4.
