Boggs earns $5,000 at Coal Miners Classic

COLSON, Ky. (Aug. 16) — Jackie Boggs of Grayson, Ky., earned $5,000 Friday at Lucky 7 Speedway for his victory in the fourth annual Coal Miners Classic 50. | Slideshow
Michael Wright of Isom, Ky., finished second followed by Mark Sturgill, Stephen Breeding and D.J. Wells. Outside front-row starter Victor Lee ran second most of the way but slipped over the turn-three banking just past the halfway point.
Michael Chilton of Salvisa, Ky., ran as high as third but had a flat tire with about 15 laps remaining; he ended up sixth.
