Putnam gets first SAS victory at Green Valley
GLENCOE, Ala. (Sept. 7) — Josh Putnam of Florence, Ala., scored the first Southern All Star Series victory of his career and earned a career-high payday of $5,000 as the tour’s made its first visit to Green Valley Speedway since 2007. | Slideshow
Former series champion Billy Ogle Jr. of Knoxville, Tenn., finished second, while fourth-starting Ray Cook of Brasstown, N.C., rallied for the tail after suffering an early flat tire to salvage a third-place finish.
Series points leader Riley Hickman of Ooltewah, Tenn., was fourth with Jason Hiett of Lincoln, Ala., rounding out the top five finishers.
