Lloyd claims Volusia's UDLMCS event
BARBERVILLE, Fla. (Oct. 6) — Ivedent Lloyd Jr. of Ocala, Fla., raced to his second victory of the season on the Florida-based United Dirt Late Model Challenge Series, earning $3,000 Saturday night at Volusia Speedway Park. | Slideshow
Donnie Chappell of Jacksonville, Fla., was second with reigning series champion and current points leader Mark Whitener of Middleburg, Fla., third. Rich Pratt of Anthony, Fla., and Darrell Padgett of Clay Hill, Fla., rounded out the race’s top five finishers.

Lloyd’s 17 career UDLMCS victories are second only to Whitener’s 19 wins on the tour’s all-time wins list. ... Jason Fitzgerald, who trailed Whitener in the series standings entering the event, did not start Saturday’s feature. ... The series takes the rest of October off before wrapping up the season with four November events. Next up is a Nov. 8-9 doubleheader at Volusia.
