MARYVILLE, Tenn. (June 7) — Overtaking Anthony White on a restart with 10 laps remaining, Ivedent Lloyd Jr. captured the NASCAR Family Night June Bug 60 at Mountain Raceway Park for his first career victory on the O'Reilly Southern All Star circuit. Lloyd, the reigning series champion and current points leader, earned $5,000 for the victory in holding off Mark Vineyard's final charge. | Slideshow

"I had no idea that Mark was coming so fast," said Lloyd, who had considered skipping the race but changed his mind after a sub-par qualifying effort at the $100,000-to-win Dream at Ohio's Eldora Speedway. "All I saw was a white car get under me coming to the checkered, so I just gave it all I had."

Vineyard, of Powell, Tenn., settled for second while Billy Ogle Jr. of Knoxville, Tenn., rallied after a pit stop to finish third. White, of Clinton, Tenn., settled for fourth and hometown driver David Crabtree was fifth. Series rookie Jason Fitzgerald of Jacksonville, Fla., led early but ended up seventh.

Notes: Lloyd's winning MasterSbilt Race Car has a Pro Power engine and sponsorship from Heat Treating Inc. and Marion Machine & Tool. ... Lloyd's car got up on two wheels on his first qualifying lap, but he recovered to set fast time with the next lap. ... Skip Arp slowed on lap five for an early caution. ... Jason Fitzgerald had the early lead but Anthony White went past Fitzgerald and Lloyd to take command in the early laps. ... Among drivers failing to make the feature lineup: Stacy Boles, Dan Tipton and former series champion Roger Best. ... The next series action is the O'Reilly Auto Parts Challenge at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Mo., a joint event among several O'Reilly-sponsored regional tours.
