Thornton gets fourth straight victory at Show Low
SHOW LOW, Ariz. (June 12) — Ricky Thornton Jr. raced to victory Saturday at Thunder Raceway for his fourth consecutive victory on the Total Seal Southwest Dirt Racing Association and fifth overall of 2010. The third-starting Thornton earned $1,000.
Art Lacy of Casa Grande, Ariz., advanced six positions to finish second followed by fellow Casa Grande driver Mike Tahtinen and six-time SWDRA champion Lonnie Parker Jr. of El Mirage, Ariz. Brad Williams of Arizona City, Ariz., rounded out the top five.
Thornton is two victories shy of Parker’s all-time series record of six consecutive victories set last season.
