Schierkolk wins from pole at hometown track
CASPER, Wyo. (Aug. 19) — Hometown driver Jason Schierkolk raced to victory from the pole position Friday at Casper Speedway for his second career victory on the Championship Late Model Association DIRTcar Series.
Dan Henrikson of Rapid City, S.D., finished second in the 13-car main event followed by John Kuchar of Henderson, Colo. Dave Garmann of Milliken, Colo., and George Ashby of Rawlins, Wyo., rounded out the top five finishers. Seven of 13 starters were running at the checkers with Ashby the last driver on the lead lap.
Schierkolk's previous CLMA victory came May 30, 2009, at Gillette (Wyo.) Thunder Speedway.
