Whitwell cools off Alberson at Tucson

TUCSON, Ariz. (May 18) — Hometown driver R.C. Whitwell raced to his second Championship Dirt Motorsports tour victory of the season Saturday at Tucson International Raceway. Whitwell, who also won at the 3/8-mile oval on March 23, earned $1,000 for the victory.
Garrett Alberson of Las Cruces, N.M., had a personal six-race winning streak ended in finishing second while Brad Williams of Tucson was third. Lonnie Parker Jr. of El Mirage, Ariz., and John Cornell of Phoenix, Ariz., rounded out the top five.
