Whitwell grabs SWDRA win at Central Arizona
CASA GRANDE, Ariz. (June 29) — Sixth-starting R.C. Whitwell of Tucson, Ariz., raced to a $1,000 victory Saturday at Central Arizona Raceway on the Southwest Dirt Racing Association. Whitwell notched his 14th career tour victory.
Outside front-row starter Joey Moriarty of Phoenix, Ariz., was second followed by Tucson’s Brad Williams. John Cornell of Phoenix and Jake O’Neal of Tucson rounded out the top five finishers. Polesitter Wes Hall of Coolidge, Ariz., was 12th in the 15-car field.
