Each spring, my outdoor columnist at The Tullahoma News writes up a short story about boat and trailer maintenance. I’ve been sports editor at the newspaper for 10 years, and after a decade, those stories can seem to be a bit redundant.

But that doesn’t make them any less important. Sometimes, redundancy is the only way to get things through to a hard-headed person. My columnist typically talks about the necessary offseason upkeep of things like trailer lights and brakes. On the surface, MORE
