Georgia car owner 'Big Nip' dies at 61
Former driver and popular car owner Scotty Eugene Nipper of Gray, Ga., the owner of Scotty’s Muffler who has fielded a car for son Jordy Nipper in recent years, died Tuesday. He was 61.
Well-known around Georgia as the “Big Nip,” he was the second in three generations of drivers following his father Pat Nipper and popularly known for cooking for family and friends at the racetrack.
Besides Jordy Nipper, survivors include his wife Wanda along with a grandson, granddaughter and great-granddaughter.
The funeral is 3 p.m. Friday, May 20, at Gray United Methodist Church Family Life Center with burial in the Henderson Stripling Cemetery; visitation begins at 1 p.m. before the funeral. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry St., Macon GA 31201. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
