Senoia fund-raiser to benefit injured racer
Fund-raisers at Nov. 11-12’s Southern National Bonus Series action at Senoia (Ga.) Raceway will benefit the family of the track’s B Cadet champion who was seriously injured in an Oct. 29 wreck.
Parrish Duncan, 43, was life-flighted to an Atlanta hospital after the rollover wreck and underwent surgery on a fractured spine. The Delta Airlines employee will be in a rehabilitation center for a few weeks and is expected to fully recover.
Fund-raisers will include a 50-50 raffle and a silent auction that will include driver doorpanels (Shane Clanton, Casey Roberts, Clint Smith and Brandon Overton, among them), tickets for Talladega Short Track’s Ice Bowl, a custom-made grill stand in the shape of a race car, a hand-painted racing sign and more. Clint Smith also plans to raffle rides in the track’s two-seater pace car Late Model.
Duncan’s family will also benefit from a Dec. 10 Chili Cookoff at West Georgia Speedway in Whitesburg, Ga. Visit the track Facebook page for more information.
