Extra cash posted for Mike Farr Classic
More than $1,500 in lap money and $800 in bonuses are up for grabs on July 2 at Eriez Speedway in Hammett, Pa., for the Mike Farr Classic.
The Zimmer's United Late Model Series event pays $4,100-to-win and $410-to-start in honoring the long-time Dirt Late Model racing shock specialist and co-owner of Genesis Racing Shocks, who died last October.
Besides purse money, Farr’s widow Bobbie and former driver Bruce Hordusky have assembled lap money that pays at least $20 per lap with special laps paying $100 (lap 41 from the Mike Farr family), $200 (lap 13 from Two Brothers Motorsports and J.R. Nolan) and $111 (lap 11 from Max and Rob Blair).
Additionally the last finishing car will receive $300 from John Farr Lighting and the highest-finishing car using Genesis Shocks will receive $500 from Two Brothers Motorsports.
Adult general admission is $18 and pit passes are $30. Pit gates open at 3:30 p.m. July 2 and grandstands open at 4:30. Racing begins at 6:30 p.m. and fireworks will be part of the program. Visit eriez-speedway.com for more details.
