Firecracker 100 now one jam-packed day
Persistent rain hitting the area throughout the day has forced the cancelation of Friday night’s scheduled Firecracker 100 preliminary program at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pa., setting the stage for jam-packed Saturday of competition at the 4/10-mile oval.
A doubleheader will be contested on Saturday featuring Thursday’s postponed 30-lap, $6,000-to-win preliminary program starting at 1 p.m. and the 100-lap finale paying $30,000 to win later that night.
Pit gates will open Saturday at 10 a.m., the grandstands will open at noon and cars will hit the track at 1 p.m. for the preliminary program. Fans with pit pass access for Thursday’s or Friday's show may use their passes for Saturday’s first event, and Thursday’s and Friday’s grandstand tickets will be honored for Saturday’s afternoon show.
At the conclusion of Saturday afternoon’s preliminary show, the grandstands as well as the pits will be cleared and prepared for the regularly-scheduled $30,000-to-win Firecracker 100 finale on Saturday night. The gates for the Firecracker 100 main event will reopen 45 minutes after the conclusion of the afternoon preliminary event.
DirtonDirt.com will off live pay-per-view video coverage of both Saturday programs.
Firecracker 100 pay-per-view purchasers: Those who have ordered single-day packages for Thursday or Friday will be credited access to watch Saturday afternoon’s program at no charge. Those purchasing three-day packages will be refunded in full and have the option to re-purchase single-program packages for Saturday.
