Former Woodhull co-promoter dies
Terry Hill, one of the partners in operating Woodhull (N.Y.) Raceway over seven seasons, died unexpectedly Oct. 14, the track announced. The Lindley, N.Y., resident was 65.
“Terry will be greatly missed,” the track said on it Facebook page. “Our condolences go out to Terry's entire family. He will be remembered as a much bigger piece of Woodhull Raceway's history than anyone will ever know.”
Hill, a volunteer firefighter who had been working as a school bus driver, partnered with Scott and Amy Drake in operating the racetrack from 1998-’04. He formerly worked at J&J Auto Parts.
Survivors include his wife Brenda Hill and daughter Brittany Hill. The funeral was Oct. 21 at the Lindley Community Church. Find a complete obituary at hpsmithandsonfuneralhome.com.
