First-year McKean promoters withdraw
After failing to draw enough fans to make racing financially feasible, Full Circle Productions has withdrawn after one year as promoters of McKean County Raceway in East Smethport, Pa., the Gallup and Bigley families announced Saturday. “We did our best and truly appreciate each and every person that came to the races this year,” a Facebook post said, adding thanks to all the track’s sponsors and employees.

Red Cedar Speedway: At an Oct. 27 meeting, the Menomonie, Wis., track elected officers and board members. Mark Thomas will serve as president with John Johnson as secretary with Brent Creaser, Mike Dusso, Dustin Doughty and Jeremy Dahl added to the board. The Late Model division representative will be appointed by the board later.
Thunderbird Speedway: Mike “Fuzzy” Withrow, a longtime racer and co-owner of the Speedway Grille, will take over as promoter of the Muskogee, Okla., oval for 2019.
Farley Speedway: The Iowa oval’s Winter Race Car Parts Auction is scheduled for Nov. 30-Dec. 1 at the Palace Ballroom. Doors open at 5 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Saturday. Call (563) 451-5056 or (563) 581-2158 to reserve lots; Greg Kastli and Backes Auction are serving as auctioneers.
Dog Hollow Speedway: The Strongstown, Pa., oval’s Thunder Dog weekend has been rescheduled for Nov. 16-17 after a rainout out the last weekend in October. The track plans to run Super Late Models on the November date after removing the division from the card last month.
