Citing wet grounds and a gloomy forecast, DIRTcar Summer Nationals officials announced this evening that Wednesday’s scheduled series event at Belle-Clair Speedway in Belleville, Ill., has been cancelled.

Officials announced the decision at the drivers’ meeting for Tuesday’s series event at Jacksonville (Ill.) Speedway.

The event won't be made up at Belle-Clair, which becomes the tour’s fifth track to be hampered by weather. Following Jacksonville, the series will head Thursday to Spoon River Speedway in Banner, Ill., for a $5,000-to-win event.
