Knoxville seeks items for auction
Donated items from drivers and race teams are being sought for Knoxville (Iowa) Raceway's annual fund-raising auction that benefits the National Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame and National Sprint Car Hall of Fame.
The auction during the 16th annual Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals weekend is scheduled for noon Saturday, Sept. 24, on the second floor of the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum outside turn two at the racetrack.
Auction items typically include autographed door panels, hoods, caps, racing apparel, photos, diecast, racing signs, interior or exterior home decor, or other unique, autographed items.
Former Dirt Late Model racer Lynn Richard of Mount Pleasant, Iowa and the Steffes Group will auction the items and Kathy Krafka Harkema, past president of National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and longtime volunteer, will emcee the fund-raiser.
To donate, either send or drop off items at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum by Sept. 12. Items can be shipped to: NSCHoF, One Sprint Capital Place, P.O. Box 542, Knoxville, IA 50138.
