Making another bid to open the season after false starts because of coronavirus restrictions and weather, Fairbury (Ill.) Speedway today announced plans for the FALS Cup Summer Showcase on Wednesday, a 40-lap, $5,000-to-win event for DIRTcar-sanctioned Super Late Models.

Modifieds ($1,500-to-win) and sportsman ($400-to-win) divisions are also on the card for a spectator-welcomed event that will be streamed live at DirtonDirt.com and FloRacing.

Gates open at 3 p.m. with the drivers’ meeting at 6, hot laps at 6:15 and racing at 7. General admission is $20 (free for 12-and-under with paid adult) and pit passes are $35 ($12 for 15-and-under).

Sponsor season passes will be honored Wednesday and wristbands from June 20’s rainout will be honored for face value at event event except the Prairie Dirt Classic. Find more information Monday at fairburyspeedway.com
