Winningest driver at S.D., track dies at 35
Seth Fischer, the winningest driver in Wagner (S.D.) Speedway history, drowned Sunday in a swimming accident on the Missouri River near Pickstown, S.D. He was 35. | Story
A farmer by trade, Fischer, whose grandfather Lynn Fischer of Fischer Farms was among the track owners for many seasons, had 29 career victories at the 3/8-mile oval in southeastern S.D., 20 of them in the Late Model division.
Besides his grandfather, survivors include his wife Shannon and two children, Layton and Rainey.
A visitation was held 5-7 p.m. Thursday, July 2, at Peters Funeral Home in Wagner. Graveside services are 10:30 p.m. Friday, July 3, at ZCBJ Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a fund has been established at Commercial State Bank to benefit his children. Find a complete obituary at crosbyjaegerfh.com.
