Rainouts and schedule adjustments
Among Fourth of July weekend (and other) special and sanctioned events altered by weather:
Delaware: July 8's Camp Barnes Benefit race at Delaware International Speedway in Delmar was rescheduled for Oct. 3.
DFW: Saturday's DFW Local Late Model Series event at Grayson County Speedway in Sherman, Texas, was postponed due to "unforeseen travel and family obligations" according to the tour's Facebook page. No immediate makeup date was set.
SWDRA: Saturday's Southwest Dirt Racing Association event at FK Rod Ends Arizona Speedway was cancelled because of continued restrictions due to the Covid-19 pandemic. No makeup date was announced for the Queen Creek oval.
NLRA: Saturday's Northern LateModel Racing Association event at Greenbush (Minn.) Race Park was rained out with no makeup date immediately announced.
MSCCS: The weekend's Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series events at Greenville (Miss.) Speedway on Friday and Chatham (La.) Speedway were rained out with no immediate makeup dates; Chatham's $5,000-to-win Crate Late Model event was also postponed and rescheduled for July 17-18.
Ultimate Heart of America: July 11's Butch Shay Memorial at Richmond (Ky.) Raceway has been postponed to Aug. 1. The $5,000-to-win was pushed back to avoid conflicts with the newly schedule Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series event at Florence Speedway in Union, Ky.
Southeastern: Friday's Southeastern Late Model Sportsman event at Tri-County Racetrack in Brasstown, N.C., was rained out and rescheduled for July 9.
