Continued rain forced series and track officials to once again postpone Thursday night's rescheduled DIRTcar Summer Nationals program at Peoria (Ill.) Speedway.

Series are track officials are working on an alternate plan for the event, which began on July 9 but had its consolation and 40-lap, $5,000-to-win feature postponed by a thunderstorm to July 21. More storms on the rescheduled date further pushed the event to July 30.

The Summer Nationals now heads into an extended break before resuming with its second phase of competition on Aug. 10 at the Bullring at RICo Fairgrounds in East Moline, Ill.
