Late August rainouts, postponements
Rainouts, postponements and schedule changes among special and sanctioned Dirt Late Model events the final week in August:
• Saturday's Schaeffer's Iron-Man Late Model Series event at Lake Cumberland Speedway in Burnside, Ky., was rained out and rescheduled for Sept. 12; the Harold Hardgrove Memorial pays $10,022-to-win.
• Saturday's twin $3,000-to-win Super Late Model features at Elkins Raceway in Kerens, W.Va. were rained out and rescheduled for Sept. 5.
• Saturday’s Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series race at Greenville (Miss.) Speedway was rained out. No makeup date was announced.
• Friday's $4,000-to-win Super Late Model race at Rockcastle Speedway in Mount Vernon, Ky., was rained out with no makeup date immediately announced.
• Friday's Allstar Performance Late Model Challenge event at Tri-County Motor Speedway in Auburn, Mich., was rained out and rescheduled for Sept. 26.
• Friday's second annual Keith Barker Memorial, a $3,000-to-win Super Late Model event at Ohio Valley Speedway, was rained out and rescheduled for Sept. 4 at the Washington, W.Va., oval.
• Friday's DiscountShopTowels.com Dirt Kings Tour at Plymouth (Wis.) Dirt Track was rained out with no makeup date announced.
• The weekend's Bullring Nationals at Columbus (Miss.) Speedway, a $4,000-to-win All Star Racing Series event for Crate Late Models, was postponed. The series is seeking a makeup date.
