Forecast dooms Raceway 7's Lucas race
Anticipating rain amid a gloomy forecast, the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series this evening announced the cancellation of Friday’s $12,000-to-win event at Raceway 7 in Conneaut, Ohio.
The cancellation of the Great Lakes 50 sends series drivers to Saturday’s Pittsburgher 100 at Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor Speedway in Imperial, Pa., where Tim McCreadie of Watertown, N.Y., will gun for his third consecutive Saturday night victory on the national tour.
The $20,000-to-win event includes time trails, heat races, consolation races and the 100-lap main event. The Pace Performance RUSH Series for Crate Late Models will be in action with a $3,000-to-win main event.
