I-75's Spring Nationals event postponed
Wet grounds and forecasts for more rain have postponed Saturday's Schaeffer's Spring Nationals event at I-75 Raceway in Sweetwater, Tenn. The $10,053-to-win event, the most lucrative in track history, was rescheduled for April 10 with a practice set for April 9.
Among other weekend events affected by weather:
Selinsgrove: Sunday's $3,000-to-win Super Late Model opener at the Pennsylvania track was rained out; the oval will now kick off its 75th season on April 10 with a ULMS South event.
Springfield: Saturday's $4,000-to-win Super Late Model event at Springfield (Mo.) Raceway was rained out with no makeup date announced.
UCRA: Saturday's United Championship Racing Alliance opener at Tazewell (Tenn.) Speedway was rained out for the second straight weekend; the $2,500-to-win Crate Late Model event was rescheduled for April 24.
MSCCS: Saturday's Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series event at Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Miss., was cancelled with no makeup date immediately announced.
Hoker Trucking: Saturday's opener at Scotland County Speedway in Memphis, Mo., halted by wet grounds; no makeup date was immediately announced.
