WVMS offers $250 discount for competitors
West Virginia Motor Speedway has sweetened the pot for Super Late Model drivers competing in this weekend's inaugural Historic 100 by waiving the entry free and providing two complimentary pit passes for each team.
That provides a $250 value for teams (entry fees were initially $100 and pit passes are $75 apiece) entering the June 4-5 event that pays $10,000-to-win on Friday and $25,000-to-win on Saturday with a $5,000 bonus if Saturday's winning car carries a throwback graphics scheme.
The 5/8-mile track, which reopened this season under Cody Watson's promotions, has also completed an all-new LED stadium-style lighting system (90 LEDs) ahead of the event as well as an all-new P.A. system with 16 new frontstretch and backstretch speakers.
Gates open at 3 p.m. daily with hot laps at 6:30 p.m. General admission is $25 Friday and $35 Saturday (two-day tickets are $50). Childrens under 10 get free admission. Watch live streaming at FloRacing. Visit wvmotorspeedway.com for complete race details.
