Wet forecast dooms USA 100 at VMS
Facing a dismal weather forecast, Saturday's $20,000-to-win USA 100 at Virginia Motor Speedway has been cancelled, according to Ultimate Southeast Super Late Model Series officials. The event at the Saluda, Va., oval won't be rescheduled.
Other rainouts, postponements and scheduled changes for the Aug. 6-7 weekend:
South Texas: Friday and Saturday events at South Texas Speedway in Corpus Christi on the Southern Touring Series were rained out; no makeup dates were announced for the $1,000- and $2,000-to-win events.
