USA Nationals start time moved up
After studying multiple weather forecasts, Cedar Lake Speedway and World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series officials announced an adjustment to Saturday’s USA Nationals schedule that will see hot laps start at 4 p.m. CDT at the 3/8-mile oval in New Richmond, Wis.
“We are hopeful that we have a solid window to get tonight’s program in to completion by starting earlier,” Cedar Lake management said in a statement posted on the track’s Facebook page and track and series officials met at 10 a.m. to discuss the weather conditions. “As we all know, forecasts change often, so please be patient as we work to get tonight’s program in.”
Pit gates are set to open at noon and grandstand gates at 3 p.m. The original schedule had hot laps beginning at 6:30 p.m. with last-chance races, the 100-lap USA Nationals feature and the Cedar Late Late Model division’s program to follow.
Cade Dillard of Robeline, La., and Ashton Winger of Hampton, Ga., will share the front row for the start of the 100-lapper.
