Hall of Fame ceremonies live-streamed
Making up for last year's postponed ceremony, weekend National Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame inductions at Florence Speedway in Union, Ky., will include ceremonies for the 2020 (Friday) and 2021 (Saturday) classes during the Sunoco North-South 100 weekend.
The ceremonies will be private, restricted to guests of the inductees, Hall of Fame officers and media members, but will be live-streamed on the National Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame Facebook page on following the Hall of Fame luncheon. Ceremonies are scheduled for 1:15 p.m. EDT each day.
Friday's Class of 2020 ceremonies include drivers Dick Barton, Kevin Claycomb, Terry English, Tommy Joe Pauschert and Terry Phillips. Also enshrined are contributors to the sport Mike Allgaier, Sanford Goddard and Dick Murphy. Lifetime Achievement Awards will be presented to Larry Boos and Jimmy "Pup" Thomas.
Saturday's Class of 2021 ceremonies include drivers Jeff Aikey, Wade Knowles, Darrell Lanigan, Bob Shryock and Clint Smith along with contributors Bobby Allen, Gerald Newton and Audie Swartz. Lifetime Achievement Awards will be presented to Brad Greer and Finn Watson.
Inductee autograph sessions are scheduled for 2:15 p.m. Friday and Saturday and the Hall of Fame's fund-raising memoriabilia auction is at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Hall of Fame building. The Hall of Fame will also receive proceeds from nightly 50-50 charity raffles.
All proceeds go towards the continued growth and improvement of the Hall of Fame, a non-profit organization that depends solely on fundraising and donations to operate. For more information visit www.ndlmhof.com.
Correction: Fixes that 2020 ceremonies are on Friday and 2021 ceremonies are on Saturday.
