North-South upgrades to $75,000-to-win

Florence Speedway today announced that 2022's 40th annual Sunoco North-South 100 will pay a race-record $75,000-to-win as part of an expanded three-day format for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series event.
The Union, Ky., track, making its announcement ahead of the upcoming revelation of 2022's Lucas Oil schedule, adds $60,000 to the event purse for a $300,000 purse for the Aug. 11-13, 2022, event.
Florence's biggest event, in recent years a $50,000-to-win race utilizing a two-day program with a double-heat format on opening night (and typically with a stand-alone race Thursday), will next season have a pair of $5,000-to-win preliminary programs each on Thursday and Friday to set the field for Saturday's $75,000-to-win, $2,500-to-start finale.
