Larson to co-promote Volunteer special
Kyle Larson is joining forces with FloRacing to promote a $20,000-to-win Super Late Model event at Volunteer Speedway three days ahead of the reigning NASCAR Cup champion's participation in the NASCAR Cup Series Food City Dirt Race at nearby Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway.
The Kyle Larson-promoted FloRacing Late Model Challenge powered by Tezos was announced today by the driver and live-streaming FloSports, the parent of DirtonDirt.com.
"This is pretty cool. I'm excited to partner with FloRacing and Volunteer Speedway on this event," Larson said in a press release. "I hope we can get a few NASCAR guys to participate in the event for some extra preparation leading into the Bristol dirt race."
Larson, whose Dirt Late Model efforts in the K&L Rumley Enterprises No. 6 are sponsored by FloRacing, is expanding his promotional efforts with the event. The Elk Grove, Calif., driver co-promotes Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, Calif., with three-time World of Outlaws Sprint Car champion Brad Sweet.
"Kyle Larson is widely recognized as one of the best drivers in the world and we are excited to collaborate with him on this race," said Michael Rigsby, FloSports vice president of motorsports. "We're building an awesome event that we hope fans will love. This is going to be an incredible weekend of racing in Tennessee and FloRacing will be there to bring all the action to fans tuning in around the world."
More details of the April 14 event will be announced with streaming scheduled for 6:30 p.m. EDT on FloRacing.
