Lucas Oil's Illinois weekend washed out
A forecast for heavy rain and thunderstorms throughout the weekend forced the cancellation of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series doubleheader at Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Ill., and Macon (Ill.) Speedway, track and series officials announced late Thursday afternoon. The Friday-Saturday events will not be rescheduled. The Lucas Oil tour's next scheduled action is scheduled for May 6-7 at Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, Ky., and Florence Speedway in Union, Ky.
Among other April 29-30 events affected by weather:
Malvern Bank: The weekend's Malvern Bank Super Late Model Series events were rained out and rescheduled. Saturday's race Adams County Speedway in Corning, Iowa, was rescheduled for June 18; Sundays' event at Stuart (Iowa) International Speedway was rescheduled for May 22.
Comp Cams: Saturday's Comp Cams Super Dirt Series event at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Ark., was rained out; no makeup date was immediately announced.
