New title sponsor for Wild West Shootout
Rio Grande Waste Services last month was announced as the new title sponsor of the Wild West Shootout, the six-race miniseries that continues in January at Vado (N.M.) Speedway Park.
Along with the new title sponsorship, Rio Grande Waste Services president Larry Henk, an active sponsor of the miniseries for three seasons, will continue funding Wild West Shootout bonuses including the Shock the Clock Challenge to the overall Super Late Model fastest qualifier and a $500 hard charger bonus for each Super Late Model event.
The new title sponsor, along with other series sponsors, have helped add more than $70,000 to Super Late Model purses with five $10,000-to-win programs (an increase from $5,000) along with a richer payout for the $25,000-to-win, $1,000-to-start finale.
Rio Grande Waste Services Wild West Shootout events are scheduled for Jan. 7, 8, 11, 13, 14, and 15 with more than $320,000 in prize money on the line. Along with Super Late Models, modifieds and X-mods are on the card each night. Practice sessions are scheduled for Jan. 6 and 10. For more details, visit wildwestshootout.net.
