Boyd's replaces Crossville on Cook's tour
With Crossville (Tenn.) Speedway bowing out of its originally scheduled date, Boyd’s Speedway in Ringgold, Ga., will host July 29’s second-to-last event on the Schaeffer's Southern Nationals, the series announced.
Boyd’s will maintain the planned $10,053-to-win purse in hosting the tour for the seventh time (the most recent winner was Sam Seawright of Rainsville, Ala., last season).
“We are extremely thankful that the staff at Boyd’s Speedway was able to pull this off with such short notice,” series owner Ray Cook said in a press release. “I hate to make schedule changes this late in the game, but Crossville Speedway approached us about getting out of the date a few days ago and fortunately Boyd’s stepped up. We look forward to working with Crossville Speedway again in 2023.”
The Topless Outlaws Series postponed its planned July 29 date at Boyd’s with a date to be announced. Visit southernnationalsseries.com for details on tickets and times for the event.
