Rainouts for first August weekend
Rainouts, postponements and schedule changes for Dirt Late Model sanctioned and special events for Aug. 5-6:
Fort Payne: Saturday's United Championship Racing Alliance event at Fort Payne (Ala.) Motor Speedway was rained out and rescheduled for Aug. 13.
Lancaster: Saturday's Lancaster (S.C.) Motor Speedway event on the Blue Ridge Outlaw tour was rained out with no makeup date immediately announced for the Phillip Knight Memorial.
Mudlick Valley: Saturday's $5,034-to-win Sam Gilbert-Owens Stephens Jr. Memorial for Super Late Models at Mudlick Valley Raceway in Wallingford, Ky., was rained out and rescheduled for Sept. 4.
Cherokee: Saturday's $5,000-to-win, Carolina Clash-sanctioned Stick Elliott Memorial at Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney, S.C., was cancelled because of a wet forecast; no makeup date was immediately announced.
Wartburg: Friday's $10,037-to-win Dylan Kennedy Memorial for Limited Late Models at Wartburg (Tenn.) Speedway was rained out and rescheduled for Aug. 27 (the race was originally rescheduled for Aug. 13 but pushed two weeks later).
Ponderosa: Friday’s Valvoline Iron-Man Racing Series event at Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, Ky., was rained out and rescheduled for Sept. 2. The makeup event will pay $10,000-to-win, double the original winner’s purse.
Beckley: Doomed by a wet forecast, Saturday's American All-Star Series event for Crate Late Models at Beckley (W.Va.) Motor Speedway was rescheduled for Sept. 3.
Dog Hollow: Friday’s RUSH Crate Late Model Series event at Dog Hollow Speedway in Strongstown, Pa., was rained out; no makeup date was immediately announced.
Park Jefferson: Saturday’s Repairable Vehicles.com Tri-State Series event at Park Jefferson (S.D.) International Speedway was canceled because of a personal reasons regarding the Adamsons, the family that promotes the track.
