Entry form available for richer World 100
With a race-record purse of $231,400 up for grabs — including at least $5,200 for every starter in the 100-lapper — Eldora Speedway has posted the entry form for next month's 52nd annual World 100 at the historic Tony Stewart-owned oval in Rossburg, Ohio.
The prestigious World 100 caps Sept. 7-10 action at Eldora that begins with Wednesday's conclusion of June's rain-halted $128,000-to-win Dream and multiple $5,000-to-win Chasing the Dream features for non-Dream drivers who haven't won a Late Model feature at Eldora. World 100 prelims, twin $12,000-to-win events Thursday and Friday, precede Saturday's 100-lap weekend finale.
Over the four days, Eldora will pay out more than $900,000 in purses, including a record $550,000 payout for three days of World 100 action that will pay $55,000 to the finale's winner.
The World 100's main event provides upgrades of every finishing position including $25,000 for second (up from $20,000), $10,000 for fifth (up from $8,750), $6,000 for 10th (up from $5,000) and $5,200 for 24th (up from $3,100 and the second-richest start money in Dirt Late Model history). Additionally, drivers failing to transfer through Saturday's World 100 heat races receive $400, up from $250.
Teams can save $185 by entering by Sept. 4. All four days of Eldora action will be streamed live at FloRacing. For more information, visit eldoraspeedway.com.
