Super Bee's weekend now independent
Super Bee Speedway’s Spooky 50 weekend will run unsanctioned instead of as an XR Southern All Star Series event, the tour announced. The Oct. 14-15 weekend in Chatham, La., is slated for $3,000- and $7,000-to-win Super Late Model events. The tour’s Dewayne Keith said the series and track failed to come to terms on the sanctioning agreement.
Other recent schedule changes:
• Nov. 19’s Carolina Clash event at Carolina Speedway in Gastonia, N.C., has been cancelled and the tour’s Nov. 20 finale at Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney, S.C., will now pay $10,000-to-win (up from $7,500).
• Citing unfavorable forecasts, Track and series officials announced the cancellation of Oct. 21-22’s Wabam Dirt Kings Tour events at Mississippi Thunder Speedway in Fountain City, Wis.
• Facing cold weather, Oct. 14-15’s Can-Am Clash at Gondik Law Speedway in Superior, Wis., was cancelled. The eight-division event was scheduled to include a $2,500 Late Model program.
