Mid-June rainouts and cancellations
Among June 16-18 special, sanctioned and touring Dirt Late Model events affected by weather:
Dodge City: Saturday's $4,000-to-win Dave Garmann Memorial for High Plains Late Model Series competitors at Dodge City (Neb.) Raceway was rained out before halfway in the main event; no details on the makeup date was immediately known.
Hamilton County: Saturday's PRO Late Model Tour event at Hamilton County Speedway in Webster City, Iowa, was rained out with no makeup date immediately announced.
Bedford: Friday's Appalachian Mountain Speedweek event at Bedford (Pa.) Speedway was rained out because of heavy overnight showers; no makeup was immediately announced. The revived miniseries heads to Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pa., on Saturday for its penultimate event. Tyler Emory of King George, Va., leads Kyle Hardy of Stephens City, Va., by 125 points in the standings.
Beckley: Friday's Steel Block Bandits Dirt Late Model Challenge event at Beckley (W.Va.) Motor Speedway was removed from the schedule because of a gloomy forecast. The track plans to run a regular-season event Saturday with 604 Crate Late Models headlinging a seven-division card.
Grayson County: Saturday's American Crate Late Model Series event at Grayson County Speedway in Sherman, Texas, was cancelled because of a rainy week and the track's power outage.
Heart of Texas: Friday's American Crate Late Model Series event at Heart of Texas Speedway in Waco rained out with no makeup date announced.
