DAVENPORT, Iowa — With three trucks out of commission at Spoon River Speedway, promoter Brad Denney told DIRTcar Summer Nationals officials tonight that he’s forced to cancel Thursday’s series event without the ability to prepare the racing surface at the Banner, Ill., track.

Series director Sam Driggers, who was telling drivers about the cancellation at the payout table following Wednesday’s event at Davenport Speedway, said the $5,000-to-win eighth round of the 28-race tour won’t be rescheduled.

The next scheduled series event is a $10,000-to-win race Friday at the Brownstown (Ill.) Bullring.
